Taking Attendance using the Attendance Page in PowerGrade
PowerGrade takes attendance by exception - if the student does not have a code, the student is present.

Attendance can also be taken using the Seating Chart

Macintosh Screenshots
1. Open PowerGrade.
2. Choose the desired class (A) from the Classes menu.
3. Choose the Windows menu (A).
4. Pick Take Attendance from the drop-down menu.

Click on the Attendance icon

The current day appears in shaded gray.
Non-attendance days are in a dark gray.
To take attendance for a student, click on the cell next to the studen'ts name. Multiple cells may be selected by holding down Command key on a Macintosh or the Control key on a PC. With the cell(s) selected, go to Step (D).
Select the proper Attendance Code from the menu. The selected cells will show the attendance code.
Scroll to see more days by dragging the slide or using the arrows.
Select a cell as in (C) above and then click on the Modify Comment button to add or modify an attendance comment. When a comment is added to an attendance code, the attendance code appears red, as opposed to black (no comment). When attendance comments are entered for days that a student is present, which is indicated by the cell appearing blank, a red dash appears in its place.
Select a cell and click to delete a comment.
5. Click the Save button to submit the attendance.
