Student is Sick - Have Grade Count as Exempt in PowerGrade

1. Open PowerGrade
2. Choose the desired class (A) from the Classes menu.
3. Choose the File Menu (A).
4. Pick Preferences from the drop-down menu.

4. Select the Scores Tab

5. Enter Sick (or appropriate text) in the Count as Exempt column (A)

You can use up to eight terms.

6. Click the OK button (B)

7. Enter Sick, or whatever text you chose for the Exempt column, instead of a score. The score will not average because it is exempt.

If the student makes up the assignment, record the grade (in place of the Sick) and the spreadsheet will re-calculate, using the score.
